No-auth logistics API solves genuine shipping opaqueness; built by non-coder using AI in month off-shifts.

Strengths
  • Addresses a real, specific pain nobody solved: shipping price discovery across carriers is actually opaque. Author experienced it personally.
  • Zero-auth public API is unusually bold—removes friction entirely and lets AI agents call it directly.
  • Humble, authentic narrative (52-year-old chemical plant worker, no CS background) builds credibility and resonates.
Weaknesses
  • No evidence of carrier data accuracy, coverage breadth, or whether real logistics companies will tolerate scraping.
  • API is early-stage; 1 star, unclear adoption or stability—could evaporate if carriers block or data falters.
Target Audience

Post Description

I'm a 52-year-old shift worker at a chemical plant in Finland. Four kids, no coding background. Last Christmas I wanted to send a package to my girlfriend's parents in the Philippines and nobody — not the post office, not DHL, not anyone — could give me a straight answer on price or how to do it. Everyone just said "it's probably expensive." That frustrated me enough to spend my days off building something that answers that question. I used Gemini to write all the code. I copy-pasted. This took about a month. This is what came out: https://github.com/zemloai-ctrl/zemloai-api

Oops Backup – Simple off-site backups for your databases

Client-side key derivation + AES-256-GCM and OpenSSL-compatible ciphertext is a practical, privacy-first combo — you can upload backups the service can never read and still decrypt them locally if you prefer. The product nails simplicity (one plan, included 2GB, 32-day rolling history), but that same simplicity limits appeal for anyone with larger datasets or retention needs; the irreversible password/key model is honest but should be extremely prominent.

Polyoracle – Polymarket signal monitor with KL-divergence scoring

Uses KL divergence to give asymmetric moves the weight they deserve (a 5%→10% jump reads way louder than 50%→55%), then multiplies that by log-volume, historical SNR and trajectory consistency to surface genuinely interesting shifts. Practical engineering choices — persisted snapshots, rolling detection windows, cooldown dedupe and Telegram delivery — make this something you can drop into a trading workflow and actually rely on.
