  • AI writing assist for tone-matching suggests vs. blank canvas reduces writer's block
  • Occasion-specific templates guide users faster than blank builder

Post Description

I built a small side project called HugNote where you can send someone a short interactive surprise message as a link.

Instead of sending a normal text like “Happy Birthday” or “I’m sorry”, you can create a tiny page with animations and a message reveal. People have been using it for things like apologies, proposals, birthday surprises, and long-distance messages.

The idea started when I realized most emotional messages online are just plain text. I wanted to see if a small interactive experience could make those moments feel more special.

It currently has different formats like:

• quick story-style messages • interactive unlock games • memory story pages with photos • funny yes/no buttons (where the no button runs away)

I recently added a Women’s Day edition, and I’m experimenting with different templates to see what people actually enjoy using.

Would love feedback on: • which templates feel fun vs unnecessary • whether the creation flow is simple enough • ideas for other occasions

A simple button to vent and talk with someone

Warm, low-friction UX: clear topic selector, 2,000-character box and a single 'Scrivimi' button that pre-fills a mailto so you can send the message immediately. It feels genuine and helpful, but claiming anonymity while relying on email/clients and a one-person inbox is misleading — this is a simple, human-run support channel, not a privacy-first anonymous system.
