Post Description

Hiiiiiii HN! Just launched something I've been working on for a bit: https://signed.com

After early GitHub and GitLab, I started getting into angel investing. I've done a couple hundred investments into startups over the years, and I kept waiting for someone to build something to like, track these damn things better, since they're not publicly traded and it's such a pain to even begin to track all this stuff.

But no one did! So I'm doing it.

Initially it's targeted to angel investors, but it's also great if you have stock with your employer. One of the things I wished I had done differently back at GitHub is to treat my stock like an investment rather than just "something that happened to me". First step in doing that is to just track it and measure it.

It's free to sign up and use, and then there's paid plans if you're more serious about your finances. Curious to hear your thoughts!

Investing assistant to manage money

The app wraps a chat UI around portfolio analysis and curated picks — importing Trading212 portfolios and promising ETF support gives it practical utility for novices. The dark, minimal UI looks intentional and focused on clarity, but the product concept is familiar: many robo‑advisors and AI fintechs already offer similar feeds and chat-driven advice. The deciding factors will be model accuracy, data import/security, and whether recommendations meaningfully outperform simple rule-based allocations.

VC Scorecard score any startup or company in 60 seconds

Type a company name or website and the tool claims to auto-identify the startup, pull 50+ signals, map your investment thesis to a scoring model, and return strategic-fit, market and risk breakdowns in ~60s without signup. Smart triage UX — great for rapid deal screening — but the methodology and source weighting are opaque, so this feels like a useful first-pass tool rather than anything you’d stake capital on without follow-up.

I wrote a book about Angel Investing in the age of AI

The thesis is timely: if AI shortens iteration cycles, angels need new heuristics, not slower due diligence. The Amazon listing itself offers nothing beyond the usual storefront metadata — no standalone landing page, no sample frameworks, and no quick, actionable checklists, which would have made the idea much easier to evaluate and share.

Startup Investment Tracker for Europe

Daily feed of European startup funding with per-deal cards that surface amount, round, investors and links to startup and investment pages. The UI shows real care — big hero, map motif and clean card layout — but the product reads as a focused data play rather than a technical breakthrough; it's useful if you need Europe-specific deal flow, but there’s no obvious signal (API, unique sourcing, advanced filters) that it outclasses Crunchbase or Dealroom.
