Replace timeline scrubber with a glass clickwheel for tactile video editing on iPhone.

  • Full-screen interface removes UI clutter common in CapCut and iMovie.
  • Pinch-to-resize overlays provide direct manipulation without hunting for transform handles.
Weaknesses
  • Private beta waitlist prevents immediate testing or verification of the interaction model.
  • Lacks advanced features like multi-track audio or keyframing found in competitors.

Post Description

Hello HN, I built a video editor for iPhone that replaces the usual timeline scrubber with a clickwheel.

You rotate through 0–360° to move across the full video duration. It ends up feeling more tactile than a standard drag-based timeline.

Still early, but I’m curious if this interaction model makes sense :)
