Rift trims the friction out of magic-wormhole by producing a public one-time URL that shuts down after a single download — nice for handing someone a link instead of asking them to install software. The optional cloudflared integration is practical: tunnel when you need it, otherwise just serve locally. I'd want clearer notes on encryption, link expiry and attack surface, but for fast, ad-hoc transfers this is exactly the kind of small tooling I keep in my toolbox.
