MidNiche GemShip It

Pre-configured AI news aggregator, but RSS readers and Feedly already do custom feeds.

Strengths
  • Direct page scraping bypasses dead RSS feeds many AI companies have abandoned
  • Side panel integration keeps news accessible without leaving your current browser tab
  • Summary feature hands off article URLs to your chosen AI service for quick digestion
Weaknesses
  • Only 3 users and 2 ratings suggests very early stage with unproven reliability
  • RSS readers with custom URL monitoring already handle this use case with more flexibility

Post Description

I've already picked up so much great news and tips from here — thanks to the HNers for sharing.

That said, I still find myself manually checking various official newsrooms and engineering blogs. To save myself from the constant 'tab hunting,' I built a small Chrome extension with a bit of help from Codex. It’s been working well for my workflow, so I figured I’d put it on the Web Store in case anyone else finds it useful.

Since many companies don't provide (or they just neglect) RSS feeds anymore, I built it to fetch the pages directly and extract the links. I’ve limited it to one check per day to keep the traffic light.

I’d love to get some feedback from you all so I can keep improving it. Thanks!
