I vibe-coded a Hacker News client for myself because I wanted a reading experience that felt a bit more comfortable for daily use. The UX is based on my personal preferences.
The main motivations were a proper dark mode, bookmarking stories for later, easier navigation through long comment threads, and a cleaner mobile friendly layout with more breathing room.
It also includes full-text search, keyboard shortcuts, collapsible comments, domain favicons, bookmark export/import, and density controls.
I've been using it as my primary HN client.
