Utter, a free local dictation and meeting notes app for Mac and iPhone
Local dictation with custom prompts, no subscription, but Whisper+Opus already exists.

It records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings and your work, entirely on-device on Apple Silicon using a model of your choice. The app has a few tools that are related and share local models: inline autocomplete in any app, and a private day timeline and a chat/search with your meeting notes.
It's a native app, built with Swift and open-source. I'm still waiting for my Apple developer account to be approved so I can properly sign/notarize the app but there is a .dmg on GitHub you can install and try.
For transcription I recommend IBM Granite Speech 4.1, and for summarization any of the Qwen 3.5/6 models work well.
Local dictation with custom prompts, no subscription, but Whisper+Opus already exists.
System audio capture avoids bot detection where Otter and Fireflies fail.
No-bot meeting recorder that turns transcripts into local memory for Claude.
Ephe for the terminal, but terminal note apps already exist in dozens of flavors.
Obsidian-native meeting tool that chains your vault as context for distillation.
Global tab-complete for any app, but execution and moat remain unclear.
