BrowserBox over SSH – The KRNL Browser
$179/year for self-hosted remote browser when Lynx and W3M are free.

Terminal UI wrapper around BrowserBox when w3m and lynx already exist.
Terminal enthusiasts, privacy-focused users, remote developers
BrowserBox · w3m · lynx
ssh krnl.duetbrowser.com
Self hosted available (+ needed BrowserBox): https://win9-5.com/krnlAdvantages:
- set the typography you like (your terminal font, size, dimensions) and it just works - the web renders your way
- light or dark mode just works
- set colors you want with terminal color overrides
- Supports: file uploads (disabled in the free demo for security), file downloads, JavaScript modals, HTTP Basic & Digest Auth, all modern JS, multiple tabs, "Open in new tab", back/forward/search from omnibox bar - all from terminal.
If you self host - you also get all the benefits of BrowserBox, such as: GUI breakout for CloudFlare/CAPTCHA (just use your bbx login link, solve it, then back to term), WebAuthn (for now only if you're on macOS), remote DevTools (inspect any page), etc.
Mostly tho this is not about that - it's about the text, the quiet, the world without imagery.
Hope you enjoy it! Peace & love & text ;)
