The Public Tab – See every federal dollar flowing through your district
District-level framing makes USAspending.gov data actually relatable for citizens.

The project mixes a roomy feature list (accountless Ed25519 identities, E2E DMs, friend codes, voice/video + PiP streaming and a PWA desktop install) with a civic mission — and everything is CC0 which is refreshingly maximalist. It reads like someone built a privacy-first, federated alternative to Matrix/Signal but bundled with a skills-teaching game and a living 'Humanity Accord.' Impressive ambition, but the space is crowded and the landing page sells features more than implementation details — I want to know the federation protocol, moderation model, and how the game ties into the comms layer before upgrading this to something everyone should try.
Volunteers, NGOs and community organizers, privacy-conscious communicators, educators and people building grassroots self-sufficiency projects
I'm the founder of United Humanity, a volunteer-driven, public domain (CC0) project aimed at aiding humanity's betterment by focusing on capability-building rather than traditional aid. We believe poverty often stems from lack of tools, knowledge, and connections, so we're building open-source solutions to remove those barriers.
Key components:
-Humanity Chat/Network: A federated, end-to-end encrypted platform using Ed25519 identities. Features include accountless access, voice/video calls, threaded replies, message search, streaming with PiP, friend codes, an asset library, and 11 hub tabs. It's PWA-installable as a desktop app, with no tracking.
-Project Universe: A free game teaching practical skills like homesteading, agriculture, building, health, and survival to empower self-sufficiency.
-The Humanity Accord: A revisable set of civilizational principles for cross-cultural cooperation.
Everything is released under CC0—no permissions needed, it's for everyone. Started after my 2017 near-death experience, which clarified the need for tools that foster self-help and community.
We're looking for contributors: writers, designers, developers, educators, translators. Join the chat to discuss or help out. Feedback welcome—how can we improve federation or the educational game?
Thanks!
