The Take

Creators get one shareable profile with rates and open slots, and brands can browse publicly without signing up — simple rules that cut the usual DM-and-invoice friction. Holding payments in Stripe escrow and baking reviews into the flow are sensible trust moves, but the idea sits in a crowded market so growth hinges on discovery, dispute resolution and actually getting enough creators and brands onto the platform.

Streamers and content creators; brands, marketers, and agencies booking influencer collaborations

Post Description

Hey HN, I posted an ultra-early version of The Fuse a while back and it sank without trace, fair enough, it was basically a landing page with big promises and nothing to see. Since then I've rebuilt it around a simple marketplace for streamer/content creator collaborations and brand bookings:

* Creators set rates, availability, link socials/platforms * Brands browse/search publicly (no sign-up needed: https://the-fuse.app/explore), book slots, pay via Stripe (held in escrow until collab done, no Venmo/invoice chasing) * Built-in reviews, one professional link to share (e.g. https://the-fuse.app/streamer/b1dc8243-7a98-48c8-bb50-69f8bb... )

Right now it's very early: public directory live so you can poke around. No fake scale claims, we're building in public and want honest feedback before pushing harder on marketing. Pain points I'm trying to solve:

* Streamers: endless DMs, awkward rate negotiation, payment delays * Brands/small studios: hard to find reliable micro-influencers without agencies taking huge cuts

Try exploring the directory here: https://the-fuse.app/explore Would especially love input from:

* Streamers/creators — does this flow fix any collab/brand-deal headaches you've had? * Brands/marketers — what sucks most about sourcing creators today? * Anyone who's used similar tools (Fiverr for creators, Collabstr, Upfluence lite versions, etc.): what's missing?

Repo isn't public yet (messy code), but happy to answer tech questions.

Thanks for any eyes/feedback!
