Solves real friction—status page fatigue—but Atlassian statuspage subscriptions exist.

Strengths
  • Solves genuine pain: learning outages from doomscroll instead of status pages
  • 50+ service integrations with native iOS UI and no tracking; clean execution
Weaknesses
  • Status monitoring is a solved, well-funded category (Atlassian, PagerDuty, Datadog)
  • No macOS app, no web dashboard, no team sharing—limits enterprise adoption
Target Audience

DevOps engineers, platform engineers, indie developers, tech-dependent teams

Post Description

I was sick of finding out a cloud provider was down when casually doomscrolling on X in the middle of work. So I built Pingy as a fun side project, it sends me a push notification whenever a cloud provider is experiencing an outage or a degradation.

AWS, GCP, Azure, GitHub, Stripe, OpenAI, Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare, and 50+ more are tracked. I just pushed it App Store yesterday and if you are paranoid like me, checkout Pingy on the App Store.
