MidSolve My ProblemShip It

AI screenshot translator when Photoroom and Figma plugins already handle this.

Strengths
  • In-place text translation preserves exact font weights and positioning without manual rebuilding
  • Batch processing handles entire app listings across all languages in one upload
  • Auto-sizing for App Store Connect and Google Play requirements eliminates resize work
Weaknesses
  • No manual editing tools for fixing AI translation errors before export
  • fal.ai dependency means costs scale with usage, no self-host option

Post Description

I built LocaShot to solve a problem I kept seeing: indie developers skipping App Store localization entirely because recreating screenshots in Figma for every language is too painful.

The approach: instead of rebuilding layouts, the AI detects and translates text directly inside the existing screenshot image — fonts, positions, and design stay intact. Output is store-ready for both App Store and Google Play.

Stack: Symfony backend, n8n for workflow orchestration, fal.ai for the AI image editing, Sharp for resizing (Apple simplified their screenshot requirements in Sept 2024 — only 2 base sizes needed now).

Supports 30+ languages. Free tier available.

Upload App Store Screenshots Directly from Figma to App Store Connect

It removes the boring middle step — pick frames in Figma, validate sizes, preview store pages and push straight to App Store Connect with smart ordering and multi-locale support. Not groundbreaking if you're already scripting with Fastlane, but the one-click Figma → App Store UX is genuinely useful for small teams and marketers who hate manual exports; I’d want clarity on API limits and how it handles complex localization pipelines before buying.
