Native Mac app which places an teleprompter in your Mac's notch
Voice-synced scrolling in the notch beats manual teleprompter apps for eye contact.
Yet another r/place clone, but the free-tier hosting stack is clever.

*Tl;dr*: An attempt was made to build a remake of the original r/place. The repo is now public, and I'd love feedback, contributions, and the like. Demo (very much alpha) is here: https://chabes.neocities.org/place/
This is a hobby project I have been playing with for a few days. It is an llm-assisted attempt at a nostalgic clone of the 2017 April Fools (9 years ago today) reddit experiment r/place[1][2]. My intention is to have a working version by the 10 year anniversary coming up a year from today.
A demo can be interacted with here: https://chabes.neocities.org/place/
I don't expect this to get huge traction on HN, but please don't hug to death, regardless. It is semi-functional, but very rough around the edges.
That's basically it. Try the demo. Repo is open for contributions. Let me know if you have any questions!

r/place on actual map coordinates with WebGL zoom—clever technical execution, limited staying power.
Integrates your Canvas account with a Telegram bot that notifies you only about unfinished assignments and stops reminders after submission — you can find your university by name and it syncs continuously. Tokens are encrypted with Google Cloud KMS and the code is open-source, which is a sensible, trust-forward approach for a tool that needs LMS credentials; practical and likely to be useful to students, but not a novel category.
Beautiful 'quiet software' philosophy, but another AI note app in a saturated market.
Real-time sheets over Tor with zero external services—genuinely clever infrastructure for a niche audience.
Phoenix LiveView for Java with no annotations and immutable state.
