Post Description

We built this as an NYU capstone project. Users upload a photo of a home area such as a bathroom, kitchen, stairs, entrance, or sidewalk. The system analyzes the image using safety guidance and returns a safety score, possible hazards, recommendations, and a visual suggestion.

Our goal is to make home safety assessment easier to access and easier to understand, especially for older adults who want to age in place.

The prototype is still early, and the most helpful feedback for us would be whether the output is clear, practical, and trustworthy. Perspectives from English speakers age 50 or older would be especially helpful for this project.
