Post Description

My co-founder is a public defender with over 20 years experience. I'm an ML Engineer. We believe AI can improve access to justice and have been building an AI enabled legal intelligence for public defenders and criminal litigators. We have talked to many lawyers in the past months, many are using AI tools. Many are just pasting output from ChatGPT or Claude into a brief, and some of those citations don't exist. Courts have fined $145K+ for this in Q1 2026 alone.

We decided to share our verifier tool. Paste any legal text, a brief, motion, AI output, and it checks every citation. You get a simple green/red/yellow result for each one. It’s free. If you know a lawyer who uses AI, please share it with them and let us know what you think.

A "content compiler" that turns LLM output into validated artifacts

Treating LLM output like compiler input — with typed style guides, required-section enforcement, and explicit Confidence/LostElements on transformations — is a clever, non-obvious approach that could actually raise the signal-to-noise on generated content. The product shows useful practical features (export to PDF/HTML/JSON, jurisdiction-aware legal drafting, slide generation), but the real test will be how maintainable and authorable those rule sets are in messy, real-world workflows.
