Reverse city-builder with custom shaders that make pollution cleanup look weirdly beautiful.

Strengths
  • Custom shader work creates a distinct visual identity rarely seen in indie restoration games.
  • Restoration loop mechanics focus on healing rather than expansion, a fresh twist on the genre.
  • Free Steam demo lets players test the core gameplay loop before the 2026 full release.
Weaknesses
  • Full game isn't available until 2026, limiting long-term engagement to the demo.
  • Solo dev project may struggle with content volume compared to established city-builders.

Post Description

I've been building this solo for a while now. I usually prefer writing code, but Unity's shader graph pulled me in, I ended up building all the visuals with custom shaders, which gave the game its look.

The concept is a reverse city-builder: instead of expanding and consuming, you restore a wasteland back into a thriving ecosystem using robots.

Would love any feedback, both on the technical side and the game itself. Free demo just went live on Steam yesterday.
