AI Analysis

MidBold BetSlick

Another AI architecture tool competing directly with established players like Lucidchart and Hava.

Strengths
  • Read-only mode allows safe connection to production accounts for immediate diagramming.
  • Links business constraints directly to system components in the decision layer.
  • VentureBeat award signals some early traction and polish in the UI experience.
Weaknesses
  • Crowded category with strong incumbents like Hava, Lucidchart, and Datadog already solving this.
  • Generic 'make better decisions' value prop lacks a specific technical differentiator.

Post Description

Hey HN, I’m working on Catio, a tool that builds live digital twin diagrams of your AWS infrastructure and includes an AI copilot that can answer questions and reason against that model.

The diagram and chat experience is free to use, read-only, and can be connected to dev or sandbox AWS accounts if you want to try it without touching production. We also have a paid product around AI-generated recommendations and architecture designs, but currently I’m mostly looking for feedback on if this feels useful to you, and how we can improve it!

Happy to answer any questions in thread :)

Layerd – Layered system architecture diagrams with 3D visualization

The layer-first canvas and a clear components palette (Services, Databases, Queues, Line Keys) make expressing front-end/back-end/data separation quick and visual. The 2D↔3D toggle is a neat flourish for showing stack depth and ownership, but without visible integrations (Terraform/Cloud import, export/collaboration, or smart layout) it reads as a nicer-looking competitor to existing diagram tools rather than a workflow disruptor.
