The Take

Native audio generation, camera-directing prompts (push-ins, pans, tracking) and multi-shot consistency are the concrete features that make this more than a one-off toy — it targets the actual problems of producing many short assets for campaigns. The UI trades complexity for speed: pick mode, tweak controls, generate, download — that workflow will appeal to marketers and creators who hate tool hopping. It still lives in a crowded space (Runway, Pika, Synthesia et al.), so model quality, failure modes and export controls will decide whether it becomes someone's daily tool or just another cool demo.

Post Description

Hi HN,

I built Seedance3AI because I wanted a single, simple place to iterate on short visual ideas without hopping between tools.

It currently supports: - text → video (short clips) - image → video (animate a reference image) - AI image generation (useful for thumbnails/storyboards)

The workflow is intentionally minimal: pick a mode, set a couple of creative controls, generate, then download.

Implementation notes: - [stack: e.g. Next.js + serverless API + a job queue + object storage] - [anything you learned the hard way: rate limits, retries, prompt history, etc.]

What I’d love feedback on: 1) Which controls matter most (duration/aspect/seed/style, etc.) 2) Prompt UX: what’s confusing or missing 3) Any failure cases you hit (timeouts, weird outputs, etc.)

[Optional: This is an independent project and not an official ByteDance/Seedance release.]

Thanks!

Banana Pro AI – a single web UI for text/image → image and short video

Single canvas that lets you chain prompt → image → short-video steps is the clearest selling point — it actually maps to how agencies iterate on concepts. The UI shows practical controls (seed, aspect, duration hints) and multi-provider routing under one roof, which cuts context switching. That said, this is a crowded space (Runway/Replicate/large vendors do parts of this) and the page leaves questions about model provenance, failure modes, and output consistency.

Non-coder's AI video tool, built in 1 month via vibe coding

The pitch hooks on text-to-video plus a multi-frame reference workflow — upload up to nine keyframes and it claims high consistency, which is the one thing most consumer video AIs struggle with. The landing page sells handy presets (ads, viral trends, holiday cards) and a studio tier, but there’s little technical proof or sample output on the page, so the claims (99.8% consistency) feel like marketing until you see artifacts, length limits, and pricing details.

Grok Spicy – Free AI Prompts for Text to Spicy Image and Video

They combined a big prompt library (500+ Grok prompts) with a simple one-click generate flow and a scene-by-scene ‘extend’ pipeline for building short films — a UX that actually maps to how creators iterate. The landing copy promises fast, 4K-aware renders and multi-input support, but the pitch feels derivative in a crowded market and key details (model provenance, export limits, real sample output quality) are missing.

I solo built a text to AI motion graphics Video generator

Text-to-motion-graphics plus the ability to feed a YouTube snippet as inspiration is a practical, user-friendly twist that shortcuts idea-to-video. The prompt gallery and one-click MP4 export for vertical/horizontal formats show the builder focused on real creator workflows; the missing pieces are clarity on output quality, iteration controls, and model speed/cost — which will determine if this is genuinely useful beyond toy demos.

AI-powered video creation web app

Clean, friendly UI and a clear creation flow (text/image → style → generate) make the app feel approachable for non‑technical creators, and the obvious controls (duration, resolution, aspect ratio) are useful. But this is a crowded space—there's no visible technical differentiator or evidence of better temporal coherence, faster backends, or unique models; unless it actually delivers on speed/stability across browsers, it reads as another polished front‑end over commoditized text→video tech.

Seedance AShow HN: Seedance AI Video Generation (Next.js, Drizzle)

Seedance combines image-to-video, native audio generation, and simple camera-directing controls into a single workflow — think templates + reference-photo input + explicit camera moves. The UI emphasizes production-oriented outputs (ad hooks, product demos) rather than toy clips, which is smart; however the site needs clear side-by-side demos, fidelity limits, and model provenance to convince skeptical creators in this crowded space.
