Family medical hub that extracts lab values and preps appointment questions.

Strengths
  • Family collaboration with shared access lets distributed caregivers stay synchronized on care details.
  • Specific extraction of lab trends and flagged abnormalities shows thoughtful medical UX design.
  • No-password email sign-in reduces friction during already stressful medical situations.
Weaknesses
  • No mention of HIPAA compliance or medical data security certifications for sensitive health information.
  • Competes with existing patient portals that already have direct provider integration and EHR access.

Post Description

My mom was recently diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

That's both an overwhelming diagnosis but also an overwhelming flood of information, documents, appointments, options and questions.

I needed a place to keep track of it all and also a place to ask questions, do research and help my parents and family do the same.

So, naturally, I built something.

Not charging anything for it at the moment (and with as much AI as I've got layered into this, frankly it's gonna cost me a nice chunk of change to run it). Mostly interested in just making this as useful as possible to families going through long, complex and heavy situations.

Tech stack: Rails backend, Inertia/React frontend, Swift for iOS, Anthropic for LLM bits.
